Samsung unveils Series 7 Chronos, Ultrabooks

Two additions to its Series 7 PC lineup.

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the series 7 Chronos and Ultrabooks with improved features in the US. The Series 7 Chronos features RAM-accelerator said to increase speed by up to 150% for browsing and running apps, and it also offers ten-finger multi-touch, plus screen, touchpad and keyboard.

The device comes with a powerful Intel quad-core processor with up to 16GB of memory, 1TB of storage and 2GB external graphics built into a 20.9mm chassis covered by an aluminum body.

It features HD display (1920x1080) with 300nit brightness, JBL optimised speakers and an extended battery life of 11.5hrs.

The Series 7 Ultra comes with HD display (1920x1080), with 350nit brightness, JBL optimised speakers and AMD graphics powered by the Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, 256GB of storage, ten-finger touch and six second boot-up time.

The devices will be available with 4G LTE connectivity, with three USB 3.0 ports, a LAN port, a security slot and aluminum body.
