Eurotech launches new single board computer

Features EPIC form factor of 4.5 x 6.5 inches

Eurotech, a provider of embedded technologies, products, and systems, has launched Vector, a full-featured, low power, EPIC single board computer (SBC) based on the Intel Atom Z5xx processor.

Eurotech said that Vector will be available in an EPIC form factor of 4.5 x 6.5 inches, and offers dual CAN interfaces, serial ports, high speed USB, and gigabit ethernet.

The new SBC has several multimedia capabilities which includes dual display support, VGA and LVDS interfaces, touchscreen and backlight.

It also provides a range of power supply unit of 7 to 25 VDC, and expansion options such as MiniPCI Express, Serial ATA, Solid State Disk, and SecureDigital or CompactFlash support.

In addition, Vector supports Windows Embedded Standard, Windows CE, and Wind River Linux.

Eurotech director of engineering Pete Dombrowski said that the SBC design is targeted for customers who want to plug a single board into their design and go to market quickly.

"We have built a very flexible product through a range of I/O, boot, expansion, and operating system options, all backed by Eurotech's strong focus to help our customers move into production as quickly as possible," Dombrowski said.
